    Mayor Dan Carter has issued the following statement in response to an armed person call and the subsequent shooting of a Durham Regional Police Officer and a suspect on Sunday, January 18

    Applications have been submitted to the City of Oshawa by RG Consulting Inc. on behalf of 407 AT7 Centre Inc. for Approval of a Draft Plan of Subdivision (File: S-O-2025-03) and to amend Zoning By-law 60-94 (File: Z-2025-05) for lands at 2860 Thornton Rd. N. The applications have been determined to be complete.
    A Notice of Public Meeting under the Planning Act will be advertised separately at a future date.

    The City of Oshawa is providing important reminders about snow clearing operations, parking regulations and your winter responsibilities as a property owner.

  • Shopping cart retrieval By-law

    In accordance with By-law 181-2022, shopping carts found on City property and removed by the City are subject to a retrieval and storage fee. Carts not claimed will be disposed of the week following April 1, July 1, Oct 1, and Jan 1.

  • Easier access to wheelchair-friendly taxis coming to Oshawa

    Oshawa residents will soon find it easier to book wheelchair-accessible taxicabs thanks to an amendment to the City’s Vehicle-for-Hire By-law 31-2022, with a  newly-established intermunicipal exemption aimed at expanding service options for people with mobility needs.
